When Creating a Website Just Be You

October 12th, 2007
· Filed Under: Easy Internet Marketing · Website Secrets

This is in connection with your sales materials also. If you’ll just be you, it will greatly increase your sales. In fact, having a strategy in your marketing materials of always featuring the business owner often builds credibility.

We’ve seen this with Dave Thomas of Wendy’s. We’ve also seen it with one of the hotel chains with the fellow who says, “We’ll leave the light on for you.” They’re creating a down-to-earth feeling and letting people know who they’re doing business with. They don’t want to do business with a big, nameless, faceless corporation. Tell things like they are. Don’t exaggerate. Use your own words. Sooner or later, customers will find out the truth about things anyway, so you don’t want to promise things you can’t deliver. Tell the truth and be down-to-earth. It lets people get to know you.

When they know you, they trust you. You will have credibility. When they trust you, they are more likely to buy from you. Besides, if you are always honest, down-to-earth, tell the truth, tell it like it is, then you are going to reap more than just sales benefits. There are many psychological benefits there also allowing you to sleep at night.

When someone uses your services, let them get to know you and let them on your personal side a little bit. When someone reads one of your salesletters, they should feel like they are talking to you directly. This is all part of just being you.

Now on the Internet it seems to me that more people hide behind usernames and email addresses than I ever would have imagined. The other issue is the high rate of scams and frauds that sell junk online. Now I’m not the only one thinking this, I hear it every day from my friends at the coffee shop I read at in the morning to the networking events in the evening I attend.

That’s why one of my favorite strategies to teach is Interactive Marketing. With this website I’m actively interacting with entrepreneurs all over the world. I’m utilizing that Web 2.0 thing so many of hear about but don’t quite understand. And from the way I write you can tell I like being just me..sometimes professional, Always loving the idea of having Fun, and even writing the way I think…which ain’t always grammatically correct.

I’m just being me..The guy that loves teaching others what work Now!

The company that research our Butts off to find the best of the best for small business owners to benefit from, whether it is a software, a seminar, or a course.

I have another website being built with some partners that is much more likely to be stuffy and overly professional. I know I won’t have as much Fun with that site, but what they don’t know is the more fun I have teaching the more fun my clients have, and the more we all accomplish towards achieving all of our goals. These partners are great guys and are slowly seeing the reality that they can’t hide behind a website.

They are looking at being involved more with visitors to their website and interacting with clients through’Real conversations” not emails.

Opps, I noticed I’m starting to get preachy, so I’ll stop here and just repeat, when setting up a website and your Internet marketin presence, Just be You and Success will follow.

The Multiplying Your Mind Power by 1200% in Less Than a Week.

The Multiplying Your Mind Power by 1200% in Less Than a Week?!?!

I can hear you all now reading that headline and saying, “Hey Hype-Boy, let’s get real here.” The answer is quick and simple, but not easy. It is the power of 12 people focusing on helping each other. The number 12 isn’t a magic number. It could be 3 of you or 30 of you.

The secret is to get a group of like-minded people together that all want to grow their businesses. I have a friend that runs a franchise that uses 12 as the upper limit for their group which acts as a Board of Directors for each person in the group. I like 12 based on the biblical idea that The 12 Disciples from the Bible changed the world, and I know Jesus knew what he was doing when he chose 12 of them.

Disciples, hmmm, similar to the word discipline huh? Let’s get out the dictionary.

Definition: Discipline from http://encarta.msn.com/dictionary_/discipline.html

1. training to ensure proper behavior: the practice or methods of teaching and enforcing acceptable patterns of behavior

2. order and control: a controlled orderly state, especially in a class of schoolchildren

3. calm controlled behavior: the ability to behave in a controlled and calm way even in a difficult or stressful situation

4. conscious control over lifestyle: mental self-control used in directing or changing behavior, learning something, or training for something

Now remember, I’m writing this based on the Impatient Entrepreneur in all of us. In the above definition you see words like: order, control, and self-control. My self-confession, I ain’t good at none of that! :-0

My secret for gettin’ good fast with this discipline thing is Mastermind groups. That is being accountable to 11 other people that want to see me succeed as well as the fact that they are driven to succeed also.
